Together with the City Government, Fundación Avina and Citi, the laboratory promoted by the GDFE and RIL brought together more than 40 references from foundations and companies interested in participating in this public-private articulation initiative that will take place in the Fraga neighborhood.

The Public-Private Laboratory, the initiative promoted by the Group of Foundations and Companies (GDFE) and the Local Innovation Network (RIL) to accelerate the meeting between governments, the private sector and civil society in order to transform them into allies for development , presented today the "Fraga Barrio de 15 Minutos" project, which consists of the creation of a multisectoral articulation space that promotes economic integration, resilience and social cohesion of the residents of Barrio Fraga, also known as Playón Chacarita, in alliance with the Ministry of Habitat and Human Development of the GCBA.

The project arises from an initiative of Fundación Avina and Citi Foundation and its objectives are to promote employability and entrepreneurship, promote the installation of new companies in the neighborhood and generate "incentives for public good" to recognize actions with a positive impact. The project seeks to channel the contribution of the private sector in the neighborhood, "but the call is to think not only what each company or organization can do, but what impact we can generate together," said Marcela Mondino, director of Fundación Avina.

The meeting was held in the offices of Beccar Varela, which is one of the founding partners of the Laboratory together with Banco Comafi, Fundación Pampa, Genneia and Supervielle. The laboratory seeks to promote the participation and recognition of social actors and their direct influence on the design and execution of public policies, create innovative initiatives for public-private articulation, design sustainable projects and provide resources and technical assistance with support for their implementation. in all the country. It has already started activities in six cities and by the end of this year the list will rise to 10. In each city, the laboratory's work revolves around the objectives of the territory, "which the local government has already identified, but they are validated in a process of consensus with all the actors of the city”, explained Javier Tarulla, director of the Laboratory.

Some companies such as Farmacity and Santander have already committed to the project and more companies and foundations are expected to join in the coming weeks.
