On Thursday, May 9, the Cities of Mobility Program began with the support of the companies UGARTE, BOLDT, MIRGOR and SMOD, which will work with local government teams to solve public challenges related to sustainable urban mobility in the selected cities.
The cities that will be part of the program are: Salta (Salta), Formosa (Formosa), Oberá (Misiones), Monte Buey (Córdoba), Concepción del Uruguay (Entre Ríos) and General Pico (La Pampa).
The objective of the Program is to increase the urban mobility planning capabilities of the participating cities. Throughout the Program, the problems to be solved during the training and education process will be identified. The projects to be developed within this framework are aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens, reducing pollution and adopting more efficient and sustainable ways of moving around.
During the second half of this year, RIL together with the government teams will develop a self-diagnosis, identify opportunities for improvement and work on an action plan to solve the city's public challenge.
The process of building mobility policies will include peer-to-peer training, the accompaniment of companies specializing in this area, the incorporation of project design and monitoring tools, and strong citizen participation.
We would like to thank the companies UGARTE, BOLDT, MIRGOR and SMOD for their support in the development of the program to solve the challenges of the cities and improve the quality of life of their inhabitants.
A Mobility City is a city that understands that mobility is a constituent part of the urban fabric. It empowers and interprets the urban territory as a space shared by all, accessible, close, diverse and continuous.
