Within the framework of the public-private partnership for Circular Cities that brings together public and private actors with the aim of enhancing the impact on the subject, the Local Innovation Network (RIL) launched the first edition of the Circular Cities Program.

The fifteen cities that will be part of the program are:

  • Province of Buenos Aires: Almirante Brown, Ayacucho, Lobos, Mercedes, Moreno, Pergamino, Pilar, San Antonio de Areco and San Isidro.
  • Province of Chubut: Puerto Madryn and Rawson.

  • Province of San Luis: Villa Mercedes
  • Province of Santa Fe: Ceres
  • Province of Tucumán: Bella Vista

The objective of the Program is to accompany cities in the design of an integral strategy for waste management in cities. We encourage them to bet on an economy based on sustainable assets (renewable, reusable and recyclable) and on the maximization of their useful life.

Through intensive support, the technical teams will work for eight months on the diagnosis, identification of their map of opportunities for improvement, construction of an action plan for the short, medium and long term, and implementation of the prioritized actions.

At the same time, installed capacity will be left in the government teams through training in the RIL circular cities academy and in the articulation with the private sector and civil society organizations that will provide spaces for exchange for the joint construction of solutions that meet the needs of each locality.

The program has partner companies and organizations that will accompany us throughout the year in the training of teams and in building a virtuous agenda of public-private articulation.

Cities that prioritize environmental care and circular economy are cities that revalue their resources.
