On May 7, the Planned Cities Program began with the support of Banco Hipotecario and Techo, which will work with local government teams to solve public challenges in urban planning and land management in the selected cities.

The cities that will be part of the program are: Río Cuarto, San Nicolás, Posadas, San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, Godoy Cruz, Concordia and Capilla del Monte.

The objective of the program is to support local government strategies for territorial planning, development of urban, financial and land management instruments.

During eight months, RIL and the government teams will develop a self-diagnosis, identify opportunities for improvement and work on an action plan to solve the city's public challenge.

The focus will be on promoting, reviewing and accelerating the common vision on the territorial development strategy of the cities, so that they have more and better instruments to organize their growth, improving the quality of urban life, increasing governmental capacities to intervene in the city with more urban instruments and resources. The aim is for cities to define a model that is people-centered, close, compact, inclusive, balanced and sustainable, with land management instruments that enable them to capture resources, plan transformative urban projects and improve the provision of services and habitat conditions.

Thanks to Banco Hipotecario and Techo for supporting us in the development of this program to solve the challenges of cities and improve the quality of life of their inhabitants.
